45 views and no reply, i'm taking it as he's not then!
The episode Passion of his podcast is hilarious though |

I think people were just bemused by 'comedy specialist'. He's very, very funny, especially if you're intelligent and knowledgeable.
Youtube his reaction to mike read's rap for the tory party. |
|
By:
Not only is he funny, but he also gets to bump uglies with Victoria Coren, the lucky b*stard.

Seinfeld is a d1ck, dm p1sses all over him

hes great on quiz comedy shows, would i lie to you is the funniest thing on tv at the moment
|
|
By:
I like Would I Lie to You as well, but oddly last week thought Mitchells hysterical laughter at Bryden and Hewer sharing a jumper somewhat odd. It wasnt that funny. He Brydon and Mack are very very good.

lee mack has wee man syndrome

Thanks all, i see i was on a good lead then, i will watch this quiz.
British comedy has excellent reputation, but since i'm here i didn't find much about it, except i have murder envies when Ricky Gervais starts to laugh |
|
By:
Gervais is a self-congratulatory tw*t. Stephen Merchant is the talented writer in that little clique.
The chemistry on Would I Lie to You is pretty good. The juxtaposition of Mitchell's cerebral persona, and Mack's everyman cheeky chappy works well, and Brydon is a good host. |

By:
quite good Mitchell sketch about Glory Hunting Football Fans here

Seinfeld just some berk who got lucky. Cours he got some talent, but loads of people have got a bit of talent. He just got chosen for stardom, fitted the bill ; anodyne, unchallenging, unthreatening. If this is your thing you have a very long way to go. I have less far to go, as evidenced by a thorough admiration for the challenging, threatening and societally disruptive comedy of Hicks, a yank so far in advance of his host society his life must have been fairly uncomfortable.
|
|
By:
I want to hear from someone with less far to go than myself, so that I may improve myself some more.
|
|
By:
In the meantime all you idiots out there can form an orderly queue, i'll see you when I'm done waiting for enlightenment.

... or I would, if you were smart enough to know that you could be a finer better creature than you already are - but you're not, so you don't.

I'm pretty dumb - but less dumb than the average sheeple.

Stewart Lee is the greatest comedian this country has produced in the last twenty years in terms of clever humour
Paul Chowdhry is one of the best in terms of add-libbing with the audience https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9SHxFQ59lM Frank Skinner and Lee Mack are the most quick-witted comedians Milton Jones in the least offensive but can be funny Frankie Boyle is the most offensive but can be funny - this isnt his most offensive work but always amuses me https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3-aWvlm9Io Michael Macintyre is the luckiest. As Stewart Lee described all MM's fans queuing up at Christmas to buy his DVD "like captured partizans all digging their own mass grave" Anyone called Russell isnt funny |
|
By:
Agree on Stewart Lee. Saw him in Cheltenham in March - outstanding. So clever.
I'm off to Edinburgh in 2 weeks so will try and catch him again. |
|
By:
pretty much agree with all of that MC560.
|
|
By:
why was the vicky coren thread taken down?
|
|
By:
Stewart Lee is a pretentious tw@t. Not funny at all but some think it is 'cool' to like him. All just my opinion by the way
As for, Would I lie to you? Again, utter shi te. Thought the posts raving about this were pure sarcasm at first. David Mitchell is good but LM and RB, nah. Frank Skinner is very witty, a natural. |
|
By:
I reckon Jerry Sadowitz must be the most offensive comedian in the last 30 years, but he is quite far off the radar now (a real shame). Agree with most of what is said about Hicks, but he could lecture a bit, and some of his routines (especially about drugs) are laughter-free for quite long stretches

He's ruined her........

Want people to think your intelligent? Tell them you think Stewart Lee is your favourite comedian.
His audience dare not laugh in case people think their too thick to get the joke. |
|
By:
Stewart Lee is brilliant imo, one of the most intelligent comedians I've ever seen
|
|
By:
I quite like him.
I was distrurbed to read that **** Jack Whitehall is with the woman playing the robot in that Channel 4 series "Humans". That doesn't seem right. Did he sell his soul or something? |
