I read a statistical article which calcualted ,comparing the best to the average in various stats based sports, and working out how often you'd expect the best stats to be replicated,  that  Bradnam's test batting average will probably be a record for 700 years.

Bradmans  test average is 30% better than anyone else who has ever played the game.  Amazing stuff.

As for Dixie Dean's record.  Not so streets ahead of others as you might think.  The year previous to Dean's record breaking season George Camsell of Middlesbrough got 59 league goals.  Also Messi scored 70 goals this season, albeit in all competitions.

Bradman's looks the most astonishing to me. There may be others less likely to be broken. How many tests do you need to play to qualify though? If someone is called up, scores 101 in the first innings, no need to bat in the second...then gets injured and never plays again...

Then he's had a good game.  Bradman had a career over many years.

Andrew ("Andy") Gordon Ganteaume (born January 22, 1921) is a West Indian former cricketer who played as an opening batsman and occasional wicketkeeper. He was born in Belmont, Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. He is noteworthy for scoring 112 in his only Test innings, against England at Port of Spain in 1947/48, which gives him a higher batting average than Donald Bradman, who is universally considered the greatest batsman in the game's history. However, lists of all-time averages rarely include those who have played fewer than 20 innings.

No other player who has played more than 20 Test match innings has finished with a Test average of more than 61.[215] Bradman scored centuries at a rate better than one every three innings—in 80 Test innings
