I'll take that as a "no" then!

I do. It's the only viable way of betting on an Android smartphone.
If I'd known that Betfair were unuseable on a smartphone except via Zoombet, I'd never have been persuaded to replace my old Nokia. ![]() |

Betfair stated in March that they hoped to have an Android app available before the start of Euro 2012.They're cutting it a bit fine!

Anyone know if we can avert this by contacting the people paying for the servers and asking them to keep afloat and starting a betfair cooperative to pay for the servers so Zoombet can continue.

Eh? I've been using Betfair's Android app for ages now, what's the problem?
It isn't on Google Play, but you can easily download it from Betfair directly. |

The problem here is that Betfair's own app is either painfully slow and unresponsive or just plain freezes. I just end up stabbing the screen repeatedly until I get directed somewhere I didn't want.
timeform.betfair.com works better, but is full of clutter, and obviously no good for anything other than horse racing. Basically the fact betfair announced a couple of months ago that they would have an Android app ready for Euro 2012 was an admission they don't have a useable one at the moment. |

So why would zoombet close, its a great app!

As I understand it, the developers were operating it for free, but because it was so popular, it had become too expensive in time/cost terms.
Have a look at the Betfair Mobile forum below. |

Good to see Zoombet have relented for the time being.Betfair should put their hands in their pocket and subsidse them or come up with a better alternative.
