Al Waha lebanese/arabic for something different - delicious if you like that sort of thing and like a change
failing that covent garden market, upstairs in the pub grab a pastie and a pint of real ale look out over the piazza at lunchtime and then down to listen to the classical music buskers - you can eat there too if it is your thing |

Do not, unless you care more about a name than how good the place is, stay at the Park Lane Hilton though.
There are two routes for restaurants. One is the lottery wandering around route, which can sometimes be pretty good, but can lead to crippling indesicion. The other is the triple booking approach. Book with three places, and just make sure that you cancel two an hour beforehand. If they were full anyway, they'll probably make two walk-in/late covers, if not, then it's not like you've actually lost them money. Tuesday is a good night though. What's your budget, restaurant-wise? A lot of good dining to be had in hotels by the way. Often much better than the big 'name' restaurants. |

It's a bit of a shame that you can't go straight from Victoria to restaurant. The Pimlico/ Belgravia/ Sloane Square area is awash with good restaurants that you could walk into on a Tuesday.

the reubens is a good hotel .couple of minutes walk from victoria

Was at the Reubens today in a business capacity and can confirm it was decent - also Hotel 41 next door if you like exclusivity.
Word of warning though all hotels in the Victoria area and indeed London generally have been exceptionally busy for weeks and with it being Jubilee weeekend right by Buck Palace I would get something booked asap. |
