I have been 5 times in 3 years, Just stayed at the Coral Reef resort which was fantastic. Sharm is the place to go 100%  Try visiting Soho Square where you don't get hassled by locals and good quality eating places. Ignore above posters as they must of gone Cairo which is a shithole.

I lived there, so I'm a bit biased, but Egypt is an extraordinary place. Go to Cairo and then up the Nile on a cruise and visit Karnak and the Valley of the Kings.
