Unfortunately the nipper was disposed of in large bins outside a supermarket very close to the apartment complex.
These bins were emptied that same evening at midnight (as they are every night). The landfill site where the waste goes to was never searched. |

In all probability she is dead, it's time to move on and tax payers money shouldn't be wasted on these wild goose chases, the money could be better used helping children in Britain...

If these two tight fisted coonts hadn't gone out on the lash, or paid for a baby sitter, their daughter wouldn't be missing, presumed dead.
If she is alive, the girl probably has no recollection of who her parents were by now. She is hopefuly happy and well kept, and she should be left like it. If they find her alive it will cause her enormous stress to be taken away from whoever has her. And as she never went missing in the UK, let the pork 'n' cheese feds deal with it. |

If she is well kept and happy, it will !!
|
|
By:
and this time next year you just feel the situation will be
exactly the same, no closer to finding her or knowing what happened. hope she is well kept and happy, but for the parents leaving those children alone, a terrible mistake that can never be undone. |
|
By:
It's not eonugh to term leaving kids alone at night as a 'mistake'
It's the act of a pair of coonts whose social life came first |

McCann and Stephen Lawrence.
Both unbelievable wastes of taxpayers money. Sounds harsh, but I believe I'm right. |
|

I think some of you lose sight of the fact that kidnap and/or murder are criminal offences.
It doesn't matter how long it takes or how much it costs the case iof this missing child should never be closed until the facts are known regarding her disappearance. It has nothing to do with who her parents are, or are not, the offence was committed against the child...and she is surely protected by the law. |
|
By:
sad in it. do u think shes alive?
|
|
By:
If the McCoonts want to involve the UK police, surely they should be charged with neglect, not a 'mistake', in the first place.
As for finding her, they never found Ben Needham, who had a strawberry birthmark, and has been missing since 1991. |

just watched that. 1 why did the children get left alone in an apartment? n 2 would madeline not be old enough now to no something wasnt rite in terms of the people who abducted here and her parents? i thinnk something did happen her accidently as the chief police man said. wat do chit chat think?
|
|
By:
It doesn't matter what you or the rest of chit chat THINK. All that matters is the facts. Comments like 'why were they left alone' or 'they were too tight to hire a baby-sitter' may be relevant as to how the events took place...but they don't help with the main question of 'Where is Madeleine?'

This is the commonly accepted as the most likely explanation by the locals. As regards what could the police say? There wasn't time for them to cancel the bin collection (though if it happened again they would immediately do so) that night and searching the landfill site days later would have been nigh on impossible. And the Police Chief who initially headed up the investigation before being taken off the case has highlighted this issue. Also highlighted by detectives sent from the UK since. |

see when the went for the meal. Who all was left in the room sleeping? was there other peoples children?

I have every sympathy with the girl and some sympathy with the parents. Only some mind you.
The reality is that the police are putting the phone down on reports of crime every day because they don't have the resources to deal with them. I personally believe the McCanns have taken up enough of our resources now. As tmp says, if she is alive and well, thats the end of it. |

chit chat will solve this case i have no doubt

The portugese wanted to brush it under the carpet as it might damage tourism. It was similar to that case in South Africa where the newlywed girl got murdered. I don't think it would have been a happy ending for Madeleine...tragic and I hate to think about it.

By:
Bottom line from the prog last night.....
Cameron authorised big budget spend on review Portugese doing own review in paralell to cover themselves Nothing new revealed Panorama bloke remembering last time he was there Was a flawed investigation which everyone already knows Kate still looking painfully thin. Kate and Gerry still managing to keep it in the news. Madeleine still missing presumed kidnapped or sadly dead. British tax payer footing the multi million pound bill. |

Not considered suicide yet ? Has already told the Sun she 'couldn't make love to Gerry' coont |

the revelation from last nights show was that may and cameron had correctly told the mcaans to go swivel, till mr murdoch intervened blew sweet nothings in daves ear then its all hands to the pump
|

is/was rupert murdoch more important than the p.m. in this country?
kin seems like it |

That's an extraordinary statement from a lawyer, Sib. Imagine that principle installing itself into a legal system. My view of PPE graduates is shaken. Cameron, Hunt, Widdicombe, Alexander, Balls, Milliband, Currie, Mandelson, Hague, Benn ... hopeless timewasters. The benches beckon ![]() |

Its a pretty poor form of advocacy to quote part of passage and hope your opponent won't spot that you missed out the important parts.
I clearly set out that in the context of scarce resources, where many crimes go uninvesitaged, enough resources have now been spent on this case. Now you may disagree. But believing that quoting the "good part" and ignoring the "bad part" is a clever use of advocacy, well, perhaps standards have risen. |
