Picked him up and he did one, £11 fare. I was so mad i went back to house where he came from, hammered like a madman on door, no response. Anyway i reported it to police who to be fair, said they would follow it up.

You need to develop a sixth sense for these ****s and apologetically ask for money up front when you get the vibe.
He should be easy to find, criminal record for the sake of £11.
In my neck of the woods any fares over a tenner need to be paid up front
I used to play squash with a London taxi driver, in his spare time he ran marathons. He used to chase those that did a runner knowing they would run out of steam sooner rather than later and then would give them a few right handers and take whatever they had. He called it a perk of the job
