True, but if you think we celebrate St Patrick's Day over here, you should see the way the Irish go mad for St George's Day over there
By:
We should all spend it drinking pints of warm yeast in a traditional Irish Pub, with bicycles suspended from the ceiling and water pumps screwed to the walls, whilst a very bad covers band ruins Whiskey In The Jar and Brown Eyed Girl.

Cant wait till St Georges, and watch all the Mugs make a big deal about it(But in truth it's just another excuse to get plastered and spend their social that I pay for.

Especially a nation which has produced so many lard arse, pug ugly women as Ireland-ugliest in Europe and no two ways about it

Paddys day is pretty harmless in all fairness ,sure most real irish i'm sure must utterly cringe at the students and gayers and premiership football type fans that "celebrate" the day pretendign they have been plastered and "having it large" and no doubt posting rheir pics on Facbook due to the days "crayzness"
As for St Georges day it's very very low key really and bascially just used by the breweries to get a few punters through the door on a dead midweek day.I personally meet a few ex servicemen collegaues and we go to the cathedral service, remember a few pals and have a few quiet drinks in the afternoon. For some odd reason lefties can't abide st georges day,its ahardly a chest thumpijg extravaganza of nationalist fervour is it ffs. |

St. Patricks day is a day of extra business at Cheltenham, even when it's not on the correct date, like this year.

Most normal Irish people are quite blasé about SPD in my experience.
By:
St georges day irritates me all these mad nut jobs saying oh why can't we celebrate our saint like the Irish do, why must we forever lay down on all fours and get rogered by these paddy day lovers in our own country.. Result is you get a pretty much manufactured fake day on the p1ss. SPD a load of shote too.

Hey you rob_dylan - Watch it! St. Patrick's Day is a day of holy obligation and if you don't go to mass in the morning your soul will be blackened by mortal sin!! MORTAL SIN ! PURE BLACK ! So if you didn't go to mass make sure you get absolution a.s.a.p. because if you suddenly die without it you will burn for ALL eternity. ALL ETERNITY do you hear me!
… unless you're not blessed to be part of the One, True, Holy, Roman, Catholic and Apostolic Church. In which case, you're a heathen so you'll burn anyway. |

220,000 Irish people live in London, they seem to enjoy it.
By:
enjoy London????? Just shows you how thick they are then.
By:
What? You have to be thick to enjoy London?
By:
Irish only enjoy London for all the guns and riots, reminds them of home.

12 hr party of estimated 8,000 of us on Saturday,That is the patriotism of my parents country.
Would be great if we had that kind of commitment and passion to puta St Georges day party on here,in my own country. We are far to lazy and arrogant to organise such an event as we would rather leave it to someone else, and then bitch like feck that others are having a good time. Judging by some of the responses here, some of you need to get out more. ![]() |
