There are very few people/celebrities I admire but nevertheless, I have my own elite list of my own particular heroes.

I loved  The Stranglers when I was younger but I have much more 'admiration' for a solo performer like Ian McNabb.

I reckon Clint Eastwood is probably my movie hero, though anything humorous (which keeps me going)  is more important to me, and the ones that have kept the smile on my boat are Bill Hicks, Larry David, Chris Morris & Steve Coogan.

Surely I can't be alone in forming a sort of 'bond' with these icons...or can I?

John Peel always will be, he was like a father figure thru my teens....also dawned on me how much enjoyment Iain McCulloch had given me down the years when i saw them last year....will have to give this some thought but think i've got a bit wary of heroes having idolised Alan Hansen in my youth! It changes.

A particular hero is John Martyn at the moment ... I suppose the one constant on my list would be Nye Bevan.
