Bath above kitchen was leaking slightly and small bits of water dripping through the kitchen light. Is it safe to have the electricity on in the rest of the house till i get a sparky out?
Assuming the water has only travelled to this one place then just isolate the lighting circuit at your consumer unit. Fix the leak, let the water drip out of the light. May take a day or two for it to stop dripping. Not sure what light you've got in the kitchen but it may me full if you say have a diffuser . No need for a sparks to come out imo if its a recent event. It'll dry naturally once the leak is plugged. If it's been going on a while then connections in fittings might be corroded or insulation damaaged due to heat.
