I must admit that RogerTheButler's choice of 'Song To The Siren' trumps my two, frankly, excellent choices.
And revisiting Dan Chipowski's Broken Bells choice, seems miles better, than when it first came out over a year ago. The Shins/Danger Mouse collaboration is awesome (spooky video though)
I enjoyed the Pale Saints track too - an almost-twin of 'Geek Love' by Bang Bang Machine, which hasn't been mentioned yet surprisingly:

Gary Jules MAd World is a stunning song but brings back bad memories. I heard it onthe Radio and they said it was 33/1 for Xmas no.1. I rushed to back it but it was only 12/1. Having missed the price I left the bet alone but then watched it claim Xmas no.1 by a landslide
Credit to OP, not heard that lovely song for many a year. Not strictly indie, but a haunting and beautiful song that you will definitely love:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KBV_Y16yC4&feature=relatedJeff Buckleys Hallelujahhttp://www.youtube.com/watc
