HELP --a computer hiccup ..

every toime i go to post something my computer puts a box up saying =

the internet has reset itself ...try again

is there a box that should be unticked or ticked ....or how can I correct this daft situation please ??

just did it again ...FULL message is =

The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

What Browser
Are you behind a Firewall
Are you behind a router
Is it a home network or a work one
What exactly do you do to generate the message (does just trying to go to www.whateversite.com bring it up)
Do you have any kind of Internet Security prog on ur pc

to answer your questions in order you asked them =

internet explorer + mozilla tried
not sure about firewall -- how could i find out
behind a router ?? ...i was using a wireless router ...then switched to a wire line to get back on this evening

it is a home network
=but computer has just been moved from one house location 150 miles away + a different ISP BB supplier ...to be set up here with the different provider here..

i was using Panda AV , but ditched/ uninstalled them this evening .. and went to Avast free one ..

how it happens =
i google the www site i want, and the minute i press on it , the try again message comes up..

and it does it when i post on here ..it did just then now ...
i press the try again box + I hit button F5 ..immediately afterr the try again ...and it works and I can see my post above ..and this forum again ..

So are you using the router from your old address in the new house?

It looks like you are connecting to the ISP server (god knows how that is working at all) and getting a connection, then the ISP is realising that there is something wrong - the phone number/connection server/whatever is not the 'right' one (ie, the one from your old house).

Getting it set up properly will solve it. Maybe.

Guess 2:
It could be a loose connection somewhere. Check from your wall phone socket to the router. Take every connection apart then re-seat it. Is your landline OK for making calls? Does the call ever drop? If so, call BT/your supplier and ask them to check the line.
