Read a lot about this last week and posted some of it but can't remember which thread.
I reckon he has been stitched up and Levi Bellfield did it. |

Found that thread now Rocket and your post..
I was reading about this guy and it seems some papers reckon it was Bellfield who murdered that woman and her daughter and not Michael Stone who is in prison for it. I remember that happening, I think they were tied up and then battered with a hammer but one of the daughters survived. There was DNA on a few items that didn't match any of the victims or Michael Stone. Are they comparing it to Bellfield? Yes none of the DNA evidence could be matched to Stone .And it cannot now be matched against Bellfield because the Police have 'lost' it all. Really hard to think of anyone convicted of murder on such pitiful evidence .All the details in the 'confession' he supposedly gave to the other prisoner had been printed in the newspapers already. |

Stone won't do another six months imo.
Highly embarrassing for the Old Bill, were they capable of feeling embarrassment for their misdeeds. |

prison cell confessions turn up time and time again in very weak murder cases.
always amazes me that it works so often |

Police statement 'they are not looking for anyone else in the case'

ims, Peter sutcliff's 1st assault was on a woman in Preston, where he was living or working. He "knew" of her, which is common in most serious assaults. The victim and assailant know each other. If you like the 1st attack is a "practice run". Levi Bellfield, more than likely, seriously assaulted somebody else, before he actually killed his 1st victim.

in other news today
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-14042058 Eight former and serving police officers manufactured a case against three innocent men following the murder of prostitute Lynette White, a jury has been told. |

By:
Good job we no longer have the death sentence as how many innocent men would have been killed. The Rachel Nickel falsely imprisoned Colin Stagg was one, this Stone may be another. Numerous others too.

Yeap good point.
I bet a hell of a lot of innocent men have spent and are spending their final days on Americas Death Row. |

some good stuff on this thread
anyone know where bellfield was in nov 1963? dallas possibly? i never really believed that oswald was a lone assassin |
|
By:
Levi Bellfield has never to my admittedly limited knowledge bludgeoned anyone to death with a hammer.
I thought he abducted and raped his victims. more facts needed imo |
|
By:
you've got that wrong CC
Levi Bellfield was convicted at the Old Bailey of the "hammer murders" of students Marsha McDonnell, 19, and Amelie Delagrange, 22, as well as the attempted murder of schoolgirl Kate Sheedy. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1579852/Levi-Bellfield-is-Milly-Dowler-prime-suspect.html |

The court of appeal seem happy with the safety of the convictions though (twice) including a full previous refferal to the cases review commision. Not the strongest of convictions though the mentally ill drug addicted psycopath that is Stone was a fairly obvious suspect.

What reason did they have to be happy about it BV?????? What actual evidence is there ?
Actually the more i look into it the more of a nonsense the conviction is. Seems he was only arrested in the first place because someone came forward following a Crimewatch Programme in July 1997 to say he had been behaving oddly an the day of the murders, and had bloodstains on his clothes that day. That was a year after it had happened . Find it very hard to believe that someone remebered this a year on but thought nothing of it in the days after the crime when it was dominating the national news. It seems the police brought him in for that ,discovered from his record that he was a bit of a nutter, and arrested him when he could not give a verifiable account of what he had been doing on a particular day a year before. Other than that they had nothing at all to go on, until Stone apparently decided to give all the details to a bloke in the next cell. Not only were all the details revealed in the 'confession' in the papers, they were actually published the very day that the confession was supposedly made. |

Stone appears to have been so out of things because of his drug taking that he wouldn't have remembered what happened yesterday.
I apologise for dipping into a thread with limited knowledge of what Bellfield had done. I had no idea he used a hammer to murder his victims. Was he in Kent around the time of the other murders ? |
|
By:
His daughter and ex wife said he used to visit there.
There is no proof that he was . Though he was wheelclamper/bouncer/drug dealer and those types do get around a lot. |

khyber kim surely michael stone only deserves to be in prison for crimes he has committed? he is just an easy target because he is a mentally unwell drug addict. |
