BBC just reports a 62 yr old British woman being stabbed. It's true, they don't produce good drama any more.

You are indeed correct Aunty,but though an awful incident,the black comedy value of Bulgarian tramps in Chinese supermarkets decapitating pensioners,heads rolling down the street and,the quote that the "Dishevelled man was walking downt he road with the head under his arm apparently talking to it!!"

Editors will have no trouble with tomorrows headlines.

He said security guards gave chase to him, eventually managing to bring him down and restrain him.

I think they had someone with two left feet on this story or something. When I went on to the bbc site this afternoon there was a link under news to woman beheaded, but the actual article made no reference to the beheading, only to her being stabbed. They seem to have caught up now...

Horrendous stuff.

Incidentally, I reckon this might be the one case in history where the Number One Chit Chat Detective Agency accuse the right man

they were saying on radio 5 earlier they'd been asked not to reveal the gory details until the next of kin had been contacted

what i dont understand, there are full of shoppers, where was the security guy at the time of the beheading too? couldnt someone take a stool, take something from the staff room of the shop, take some metal pole or anything in the shop and approach the killer?

first he stabs the woman, then he cuts her head off, its not easy just take the head off, you have to cut it , it takes few minutes. SO THEY JUST ALL STOOD AND WATCHED THIS HAPPEN??? when she was beheaded than a security guard pins the guy to the ground??

well known to the local police, recently released from the local pyscho hospital,

This is why I truly despise the Mail.

I was friends with a girl who was killed (in an accident) on her gap year. The Mail devoted acres of space to the story, against the expressed wishes of her family. Every single article, without fail, mentioned the value of her family's house.

They also doorstepped her parents every day for a fortnight asking for comments/interviews, despite having been told in no uncertain terms both verbally by the family, and in writing through the family's lawyers that the family would not be giving the press any interviews.

Absolute shower of c@nts.

At the same time, 'implied criticism of the shopkeeper for reopening is perfectly justified, imo.

Bet the Mail would still print a paper the day after their editor was murdered, should that ever happen.

What's he supposed to do? Turn it into a shrine? Sing "Abide With Me" twice a day? It's bad enough having it happen in his shop without him having to deprive himself of a living as well. Perfectly entitled to re-open.

There was a horrific attack in Grimsby about 2 years ago. A young woman who was 7 months pregnant was stabbed to death in a random attack on the street while out shopping.
The man responsible had sometime earlier walked into a police station and told police officers he was hearing voices and was scared he might hurt someone. Of course the police did nothing and the guy walked away. Sad.
