The standard of spelling and grammar on here is absolutely dreadful. I have cringed over the years when I read that grown men are completely incapable of constructing a coherent sentence without basic spelling mistakes. Is it just laziness or complete and utter stupidity on their part?

Laziness imo. My written Spanish is probably about as good as the median forum member's written English, and that's my second language which I didn't learn until my late twenties. Of course it takes ages and you have to think a bit about grammar, but it can be done.

People who can't be bothered to learn their first language properly and then wonder why an immigrant gets a job ahead of them...
