Paul Haigh used to be on here all the time years ago til he got banned, he was a very funny dude. Gary Wiltshire used to post a fair bit as well, still does every now and then on the doggie forum.
|
|
By:
Big Gal does take the time to post and respond if you say something for his attention. I've got a lot of time for him.

paul haigh got banned for ripping people off slippy.
cant quite remember his user name now, his line was coming live from a frontroom in fulham or some shiite similar. but he got quite naughty pretending to be reporting from the parade ring, and taking money for it. lord newbury i think he went under, conned warwick hunt out of a few bob, mad as a sack of snakes was steve porter about it. |

Zorro

By:
.. and you're getting him mixed up! Paul is a good guy.
|
|
By:
Crags is correct, it was Zorro and I don't recall him ever being involved in owt like that, not his style at all I wouldn't have thought. Crags, remember when he did a piece in The Racing Post about theracingforum. He thought Daylight was giving stars for each posts merits, not realising that when you got to Listed or Classic winner status it was because of the amount of posts you made, that was funny and he got absolutely slaughtered for it but took it in his usual laconic manner.

By:
ah right because at the time the searches that i did for steve to find him, came up as a journalist if my memory is correct.
and i didnt think i had the right guy at the time. |
|
By:
Of course I remember it, Slippy. Ian Davies started the thread about it on TRF, that thread is still there in the archives and I still read it from time to time.
Our old pal Gamble made many posts on it. |

I.D. got kicked out in the end I think Crags, I didn't used to visit for ages so no idea what happened but he obviously must have freaked out a bit. I liked the chap personally, I met a good few of them from there at the races, remember Kathy? She was a right nutcase, not a nice one either, sly and vitriolic with it and gave DL and his missus LRM no end of grief. I must get in contact with gamble this week to see how he is doing, his health wasn't that great last year.

|
By:
I'll have a bit of a reminisce and look at the archives when I get a chance. I think I must have posted on it as well at some stage.
|
|
By:
Ian is a good man,IMO. He tried to buy the forum from LRM, but it ended up under the ownership (and for free, I think) of David. And just look at the place now, full of flashing logos for bookies sites and other such shyte.
Poor Craig must be spinning in his grave. Please give my best wishes to Gamble, Slippy, don't think he's posted anything on TRF this year, hope he's ok. |
|
By:
I'll try and find out and will let you know how he is doing, goodnight.

By:
Cheers... Goodnight.
