I'll be looking forward to christmas day being over. Comfortably the crappest, most boring and tedious day of the year.

If you don't have a family it is a waste of a day.

Christmas day being over and enjoying the Cricket, the King George and the football..in peace!

No problems with people enjoying time with their family at all at xmas but perhaps if you like spending time with em THAT MUCH you could make more effort throughout the year!
Report Banks. December 20, 2010 2:02 PM GMT
I agree with Bonvivvy. It is all far too forced and false.

Sleep most of Christmas day ready for a heavy week of sport.
Report The Bhoys December 20, 2010 2:14 PM GMT
mightnt be much sport on over xmas with this weather!

2 am sandwich, with the jelly from inderneath the turkey forming a key element, whilst watching the cricket.
Boxing day dinner - bubble and squeek and leftovers and pickles; my favourite meal of the year.
Report Veridis Quo December 20, 2010 2:23 PM GMT
Seeing the family.

At least with Christmas Day you've got the meal (and a late afternoon buffet if you're fat basts like we are) to give the day some context. Most people like a structured day together, and largely dislike one that isn't because everyone feels an extra expectation to make the day work, somehow. Imvhaho.

I just bought a Radio Times today, for the first time in about 20 years. I thought it might bring back some wonderful childhood memories of Christmases of yesteryear with all the great stuff on the box.
Marker pen at the ready to ring round all the TV gems, I leafed through the pages in excitement Tongue Out

But my excitement disappeared quickly and soon turned to despair as I was assaulted by pages of paint drying yawnfests, repeats and re-runs of shows and movies that weren't that good the first time round. Cry

WALOFS on the telly these days. Angry  Is it any wonder I hardly watch it anymore.

Merry fookin Chistmas Laugh
