Not seen quite a few of these, but the standard is abysmal  "(BBC2 answer to Desmonds)" I can't imagine

For me Bread is the benchmark though. Not only is it not funny, it's self-righteous and sanctimonious

I absolutely loathed Shelley, so despite not seeing The Nineteenth hole, I find it hard to believe it was worse than Shelley (unless is was written by Carla Lane in which case - I'll defer judgement)

I've a vague memory of the second Jim Davidson second one, it was indeed awful. Jonny Vaughan's I watched for a bit, and it wasn't too bad. That's it!

Btw I watched Bottle Boys on youtube last night as I had never heard of it.
Starred Robin Askwith. Enough said.

I liked Kit Curran. Should never be on this list. Nor should Never The Twain - Donald Sinden was superb in this comedy as was Windsor Davies. It was sort of a modern Odd Couple.
I know the guy who created Elephant & Castle, from my home town. He also created The Bill, & 80s tv shows Give Us A Break (about the snooker hustler starring Paul McGann), & Big Deal with the gambler Robbie Box. An impressive collection of shows. He passed away tragically young.
