If you were the manager, what would you tell yer Allied team as they prepared to face the Germans? I would have said, "Right lads, it's only a game of football. The important thing is that we don't annoy the Germans. Just make sure you come back safe and sound. A 4 or 5 nil defeat is perfectly acceptable..."
