Found this on another forum which was pasted from Digital Spy............

James Corden and Matthew Horne have been voted the greatest comedy duo of all time in a recent poll.

The pair, who starred in the BBC show Gavin and Stacy, beat off competition from runners up Morecambe and Wise, followed by David Walliams and Matt Lucas and Peter Kay and Paddy Mc****ss.

However, their win has been criticised by some. Paul Jenkinson, co-founder of a Morecambe and Wise tribute site told Sky News: "I do like Gavin and Stacy, but to be the greatest comedy duo you need more than just popularity, you need longevity. If they are still going in 40 years then I would say they deserve the title."

Comedy site Chortle added: "Horne and Corden made a single series of a BBC Three sketch show which attracted at best 800,000 viewers. Morecambe and Wise had a career that spanned 43 years, peaking with the 28 million viewers who tuned in to their 1977 Christmas special."

let the seething begin...

I see nothing untoward there.  Horne and Corden are indeed the funniest two human beings in the history of mankind.  Little doubt.

what is more seethe-worthy is the fact that anyone considered them a funny double act at all.
I'm mainly seething that Corden will be encouraged by this to continue his career.

Horne hasn't done so well lately. Corden made a few million and fair play to him.

Reminds me of a classic Radio 1 poll to find the
greatest chart song of all time to commemorate
35 years of the charts. (c 1988)
They played the top 200 over a couple of days, and as
we reached the top 10, all the usual suspects were there.
With 2 songs left, a shock as Bohemian Rhapsody was
played, leaving listeners wondering what could possibly
have taken over the top spot from this iconic record.
And then, the oh so familiar intro revealed ............
