"Rolf was another I'd never have suspected"
Same here ![]() Savile was weird and there had to be something behind that pantomime act. There were rumours but no clues to the depth of his dark side. But Harris ? The funny guy with the beard and paintbrush, a singer, the bloke on Animal Hospital, lovable personality. What clues that he was a pervert ? I met him once when he was doing an art exhibition in Taunton. You could never have guessed about the dark side to him. People like him are very good at hiding the truth when they want to. They are very devious and that's precisely how they get access to their victims. It's naive to think you can just spot them. That truth is a different part of their lives. Would never have suspected him. My view now is that his jovial nature was genuine but he also had perverted appetites which he refused to control. |

This is a 6 year old thread.
Didn't one of the accusers sell her story to a magazine and therefore had a financial interest as long as she sticked to the "story"? A lot of holes in this case apart from that. Free Rolf! |

I grew up admiring Rolf and Saville, I guess that's how they got away with it for so long.
|
|
By:
I always liked Rolf but not Savile.
I felt that RHs demeanour was genuine but Savile came across as totally in love with himself. |
|
By:
Me and my mates thought saville was a ''wrong un'' when we were 15 you can spot them a mile away, unbelievable must've been one of the evilest people in our history...and we still don't know the full extent of it either

Senior civil servants knew and tried to block Sir Jimmy's knighthood for years - but Thatcher eventually had her way. Arise Sir Jimmy! |

What a bad judge of people I must be found Saville Harris and Stuart Hall entertaining what a bad treble.

Some years ago ...my mate proudly hung a painting by Rolf Harris on his wall "be worth thousands in years to come" he said.
Any bidders now ? |

I always though Saville was a "wrong un" ...couldn't understand why he was always in Hospitals pushing trollies around .
Turns out he was there groping the patients ..Urghhhh |

I had the great pleasure of meeting Rolf twice. Once at Heathrow Airport baggage collection from Singapore when I finished school in 1980 - he signed my school book with a drawing of a guy drowning in a pond with one of his hands out the water ... (could have been a sign?) and again in the Mandarin Hotel in Singapore (top posh hotel, btw!) circa 1987. A local rock band (Speedway - doubt they're still going but we were good mates at the time) were on - with strippers ... unheard of at the time!!!
Note to self, Google Speedway. Anyway, he seemed to be a most excellent chap and I hope with all my heart that most of the charges he is facing are bullshine ![]() |

Remember an auction of his personal possessions with people buying all sorts of memorabilia. Wonder how they view it all now.

Hopefully with utter distaste

You certainly don't see a lot of distaste from Mohammed IAN for Straight A Jihadists, Rapefugees, Labour Party Segregated Meetings, Industrial Scale Rape of White Sexually-Underaged Girls by Racist Paedophiles of Pakistani Heritage, Terror Neighbourhoods and countless other "cultural enrichments" that Peace-Loving Holy Men have brought to Europe.
Atrocities like that don't generally happen in picturesque villages where so many supporters of Multicultural Britain seem to live, as far away as they can from the people in the ghettoes they pretend to love. And naturally WITHOUT any 'Refugees' occupying spare rooms. |
