What's the point. Where do you start at conversations? Nothing in common, surely. Nothing that can be said apart from, 'this is boring, I am bored, you must be bored too'. Shared boredom. Apart from this, nothing.

I actually missed my mother in law the other day so I reloaded and fired again.

I also always found that saying "That was the tastiest bit of fish I've had in a long time" after you'd just been round for a chicken roast dinner went down really well too.

An anagram of mother-in-law is...... woman Hitler.

Lawyer to his client: “Your mother-in-law passed away in her sleep. Shall we order burial, embalming or cremation?”
Son-in-law: “Take no chances ? order all three.”

I took my mother-in-law to Madame Tussard’s Chamber of Horrors, and one of the attendants said, ‘Keep her moving sir, we’re stock-taking’

“My mother-in-law has come round to our house at Christmas seven years running. This year we’re having a change. We’re going to let her in.” .........Les Dawson

The apostrophe in the thread header is bugging me. There's a fair chance I won't be able to sleep now Angry

I haven't spoken to my mother-in-law for 6 months.
It's not that I don't like her it's just that I don't want to interrupt her.

When I read the opening post I misread 'shared boredom' as 'shared bedroom' which gives it a very different slant!
