There was no prospect of it going ahead in the first place, which I imagine he was fully aware of.
The bloke is a self-pubilcist who likes to try and upset people - each 'political faction' has it's extremists which do the same - 'I know lets have a march in an area to upset people' - been going on for hundreds of years!
