makes you go insane in 3 different ways:

1. go powermad and hate all other staff
2. depressed
3. bitter that you haven't 'climbed the ladders'

I'm only 15 years in but everyone over 50 has some sort of mental health issue.

it gets very mundane even if you are busy.

nowadays i use my brain power in betting and poker.
i took up a physical job and am miles better off for it.

you would have to treble my salary for me to even consider it again even then im more likely to say no

Yep. I do a low stress, physically active outdoor job for the local council and mostly work on my own. I'm in my 50s and stronger than when I was 30. No commuting, either. 15 minute walk to work. Stuff working in an office.

Soul destroying existence. I'll take less money and work outdoors. A tired body from manual work sleeps just fine, a tired and stressed brain from an office job keeps you awake!

Lifes a right ole laugh.

At around 11.00/11.30PM I'll be driving back into Lahndan Town to see my young lady, who is 31.
All the other lights in my suburban street ( pretty much) will have long since turned their lights out. Yet if I had started work 2 years earlier I could say that I have worked in 6 different decades. lol

Good and bad news Guys. At 55 you can still be like 35/40 again but the time over the last 25 years HAS whizzed by.

I worked in various Offices from 1971/1995 but getting out and working in the fresh air is great and much healthier ( though it has been ruddy cold lately!).

Physical activity is the key. Office work is inhuman, get the blood circulating or you are fked.

Heavy bag is the best thing, effigy of your boss painted on it will sort you out. I am serious.
