Well now here's a turn up for the books (proper books, not Dan Brown Bolleaux). A few seconds ago, Tommy 'The Toes' Toes requested a Lagerhound Lay, and then, my mobile rang.

It was calling me from the French Alps where it's currently enjoying a well earned break.

Apparently, last night, my phone pulled a dirty little Nokia and after a night exchanging ringtones, the little minx let slip that she'd been 'entertaining' the hoi-polloi of the racing world (McCriddick, the ugly one from the mourning line and the bloke who sounds like a tractor driver) and she'd had the nod on a nag.

That nag is running at Southwood today, and although the 'smart' money is on every other horse, the word I have is that this filly will run the race of his life, hosing up on the birdle like in the good old days (not that stupid music hall programme with that dead bloke who talked garbage, but the days when racing was straight bookies even straighter.)

The Lagerhound Lob On - Jimmy Quin - 14:50 Southwood.

Checkout the form. Six wins from eight races, only bettered by two other horses. That's a good start, but when you see that champion jockey reject Jonnie Skull is in the jockling seat, things start to look even better.

It's a 7 furley race too. A big positive as Quin loves anything over three miles.

Shunned by supposedly better jocklers like Apey McCoist and Karen Fallen, Skull is a 'win at all costs' rider. Who can forget when he landed a 100-1 gamble at Goodward recently, piloting the only horse to finish when the other nine entrants mysteriously withdrew once under orders. Word is they'd had some other order's from Goodward hardman, Barry 'Bookie Beater'**

Nobody argues with** but there will be no such intimidation today as he's just started a 3 stretch (single carpet) for piracy with violence. (Look it up, learn something.)

So,**has form, Skull has form, the nag has form and at with just £11 available at a very tasty 24-1, there's a river of gold waiting for The Faithful in just 15 minutes time.

Good luck everyone.

If I make a million from your tips Londis, I'll open a giant cat sanctuary. I know you would approve of that.
