you mean the one at stepney green? Yes, is a nothing pub. aussie bar staff and not many customers. Not a swish pub, and not a spit and sawdust pub. just a nothing pub.

As above.

Have spent many happy hours in the white hart over the road.

Used to be a brilliant east end joint (Not when 30 gypsies came in with snooker cues and bats one time but thats another story). As like a lot of places it got tarted up and lost it's charm.

Some awful pubs down that road. The Grave Maurice is up there with the dirtiest pubs i've ever been to. not rough, just dirty and sh.t.

Is the Nag's Head still going? Used to love a lunchtime pint and burger (purchased through a hatch in the wall from the adjoining burger joint) while looking at dirty strippers.

might've changed names. don't know it. I lived further up in bow - used to go to the bow bells, king's arms and little driver. And posibly the no 1 dirtiest pub i've ever been to, the name of which escapes me, but it was off the main road in a little market square and it stank and was full of reprobates.

I was in there a few times in passing, I agree, a load of better pubs in the vicinity. I did most of my drinking on the Hackney Rd, The Halfway House used to be a proper east end family pub, sadly, I understand it's gone now.

Used to work in Aldgate and would mainly drink in the White Hart near Aldgate East tube and the Seven Stars before it was pulled down, would venture down brick lane occasionally and have a beer in the Spitalfirlds

Was Colin the landlord at the bow bells then baggers. Used to pop in there a fair bit when i was working on the channel tunnel rail link in stratford. probably the best pub of the 3 on that road in that area.

The Pickle House in the Hackney Road was a favourite watering hole at one time.

I remember I was in there when pop music video screens first came out, and being a tad the worse for wear as I was almost teetotal back then, I proudly told all who woud listen 'That tall bird singing, she'd get a right large portion of my beef lance.'

The 'tall bird' on the screen was Boy George.

How we laughed.
