... charity bag distributors, not seen a postman for a week, can't get potatoes delivered to my local Asda, no bread in Somerfields, school been closed for a week, roads still full of ice and snow , everyone doing thier best to avoid work(i don't blame them). Don't live on a main road and my street leads to no other but these guys never fail, had a different charity bag posted everyday this week asking for my old clothes, get one about 250 days a year( how many clohes do they think i have), guarantee if i filled the bag and put it at the end of the drive it would be collected(unlike my 3 week old rubbish). These guys shopuld be running the country imo

might fill 2 or 3 bags a year with old clothes, the rest of the bags used as binliners(£1.57 for 10 in Asda), so they even save you a few quid a year with this service

I'd say most of them are. On average of the ones I receive I'd say 90% are scammers who give £5 for every tonne of clothes they receive. These people are sc*m. Make sure you read the details before giving anything to these parasites or if in any doubt drop stuff off at a charity shop.

Had two this week - one from a genuine charity NSPCC the other from one of the growing gang of " third world " clothing disdributors who dont even give you a bag. They are the modern day ragmen who want everything for nothing. Many of them follow the genuine charity workers trying to trick people into giving your stuff to them instead. Don't believe for one minute that they are helping anyone but themselves.
To be honest even the ' genuine ' charities are becoming a nuisance. Only bonus is that we haven't needed to buy any binbags for ages.

no idea what they are doing with them mate, but they are not from genuine charities and are probably pocketing proceeds from the stuff you give them. Its sad as people will stop giving stuff as they won't know who to trust and thus the people who really need the stuff will end up going without

If you're concerned about where it's going, just ask. As it's stuff you don't want in the first place, I can't see why you'd get stressed, even if there is some sinister Eastern European plot to make a fortune from your pants!

? Patently obvious isn't it? Some people would prefer to give their old stuff in good condition to a charity than a bunch of conmen. If they didn't care at all they'd just bin it.

Well then ask for evidence rather than assuming it's a con, it's not complicated!

I assume everything is a con unless it's run by the tory party then I know for sure it's a con.
