Last Xmas 2008, my wife and I separated, and I left. However, she had alot of my belongings and after being messed around all year, agreed to collect on 12th September.

In July 2009, her half brother, who has form for gun crime, threatened to shoot me. Reported to Police. Nothing happened.

Collected my stuff with 10 friends....didn't have much, but what witnesses as a result of the above. My ex-wife was not present, but 2 of her friends were. Nothing happened for 3 weeks, then I get a call from the Police asking to speak to me. I went to the station and got charged with Breach of the Peace.

The two girls claimed I caused fear and alarm, and my ex-wife - even though she wasn't there - pressed the Police for 3 weeks for action. Anyway, its going to court, and I am pleading not guilty. With the weight of witnesses, my lawyer is very confident it will be binned.

I suggested a few days ago, that these girls are liars and, if I am found not guilty based on 10 witnesses, should be charged with wasting Police time, or if they repeat them in court, then Perjury. All of my friends agreed, bar a feminist who is going out with one of them - he said nothing - she claimed it would put of women coming forward in these situations again. She also added no smoke without fire, even though Breach of the Peace only require two corroborating witnesses only.....

I also got offered a job, well paid accountant, two weeks ago. This has been withdrawn as a result. Why should I be punished like this? And this feminist is being sexist, seeing them as women first rather than normal members of society who lied.

Needless to say, I feel a little aggrieved, especially at this feminist stance.

I wouldn't employ anyone who thinks 'alot' is one word, not two.

errr Freshie

think of it this way

someone is coming to collect belongings from my place but turns up with 10 other people, what would I think? "10 lovely people have turned up" OR "a fvcking lynch mob"

damn right you should have been done for breach of peace

you only need to bring 2 people along, not 10 you silly bugger

Think you need a job and/or money, Dick, before you can actually employ anyone.

Why did you bring 10 friends? No wonder the 2 girls were scared.

only 2 entered the flat, and the breach of the peace relates to shouting and swearing that I allegedly did. Which witnesses would say not.

I'm confused.

Was the 'feminist' one of the original 10 friends?
By:
Freshie
When: 07 Jan 10 17:44
The reason for 10 was because of her half-brother's death threat. He already did a stretch for firearm offences when he turned up at his step-dad's place 8 years ago.

nobody else should be entering the flat, only you, that can be scary for the ladies as well

so 2 entered flat and the other 8 standing outside, how very heart-felting it must've been(!)

Yes, that is correct. She is willing to say nothing happened and it was made up lies, but thinks they should be let off!

just because he made a threat, didn't give you the right to retaliate with turning up with 10 others

weren't there only 6 original friends, and the feminist one was the wife of Ross' gay wife

Instead of bring 10 friends to deal with some girls, why didn't you send the ten of them to sort out trigger boy?
By:

Should also say the number of people was agreed between our two lawyers in the previous weeks, and all names were given.

Maybe Dave, actually triggerboy is still calling me and the Police don't want to know, saying it will get a mention in my case?!!! Lothian and Borders finest....

When you went inside and the shouting and swearing, started did it go along the lines of "LOOK YOU TWO FORKING SL*GS IVE GOT ME MATES I WANT MY STUFF OR YOUR GUNNA GET IT"or did you ask if you can have your things in a cool and relaxed manner?

tbh, sounds like a bit of an amateur. Not making light of the situation and I know it mustn't be a nice feeling.

Has he got form for actually shooting people or waving a gun around and generally acting like he's the big man?

It'll be binned by the courts. Easy

As long as your solicitor plays your cards right, about the threats made towards you etc, the judge should see you point in bringing 10 along with you (far too many IMO, but if it makes you feel safe)

I like it....!! I wouldn't rule it out either!

Actually, everything was boxed and by the flat door. Literally 2-3 mins to get 18 boxes. Its also the fact the Police waited 3 weeks to do anything, annoying.

Dave - he goes hunting, and turned up with his gun; no shots were fired. Their mum died suddenly, and he blamed the step-dad as it was a brain bleed of some sort (my ex-wife was 12 at the time)....he got all the money too. He was 25 (8 years after the death), he holds grudges.

Hope you are right SuperSuperShire, its the wait that is killing me.

Yes, I would say with both compliant on the day with both our lawyer's wishes. Everything went as agreed, or so I thought, and at a later date - not even on the day - a complaint was made at Stirling Police Station, even though we both live in Edinburgh. No Police were called on the day.

OK, he's an amateur. Problem with these people is if they are tooled up is that he's probably as nervous as you, if not more so. And that's not good news.

However, he might just drop it as time passes. If not and the OB do nothing about it, you wouldn't be completely out of order finding someone appropriately qualified to explain the errors of his ways to him. Obviously in a firm, but civilised manner. You know what I mean.

Good luck with this.
