but I find it a pathetic game (not sport), can`t understand how excitable the people watching are.

1 the people watching are excited cause theyre drunk, very drunk - no other reason
2 youve obviously watching BDO which is the football equivelent of watching a league 2 match and declaring football boring! 3 darts is a sport if snooker and bowls are. i draw the line at anything you do sitting down, ie chess, poker etc hope this helps |

The BDO isn't the best advert for it - PDC miles better. ^ Just about sums it up tbf. Anyone**ging it off for 'just being a pub sport' should try & play it themselves & see how many 180s they hit. It's a superb sport and, played at its highest level (see Taylor v Whitlock in PDC final for example) is tremendous viewing. |

I won £110 in my last season in 1996 from fellow team members (£10 a man at the start of the season) for going the longest without a defeat in 501 singles matches. I got to 13 before I got beaten.
A pleasing result at the time. Not too happy in 1994 to be leading the Secretaries Cup final by 3-0 and going down 5-4, it was the only trophy that season that my team never won, and fack me, did I get abuse for it. :( I blamed Courage Directors bitter :) |
