I heard Danny Kelly say on the radio a day or two ago, that the number of American Football games postponed or cancelled, because of bad weather, in the last 50 years, is precisely ZERO.
Is this correct? |

Orioles said that story was b.ollox when it was mentioned the other day Terry. I'm not saying he is right, but I wouldn't put it past the Daily Mail to at least exagerrate the story so as to make certain segments of the country seethe at it all.

If teachers and children have to travel a long way to get to school, then I don't see the point in taking the risk - roads are just too dangerous. Regards gritting - does that make roads/pavements 100% safe? does grit do much on top of 2 inches of compacted snow/ice, or 6 inches uncompacted snow on a road? Genuine questions.
I had days off school in the 80s and 90s for bad weather - bus had to drive 12 miles to get to school, what is the point in taking the risk of it skidding, crashing and killing loads of schoolkids? |
