i never know what goes in the blue bin anyway. all it said on the leaflet i got was cardboard/paper but nothing that contained food to avoid contamination. does a coco pops box contain food? i mean it does but its kind of in the bag really. what about cards with glitter on? what about boxes with selotape on? what about magazines with staples? what about laminated paper? if they cant be bothered to even tell me what goes in and what doesnt then its all going in the normal bin.

I cant be bothered with recycling.

I get more annoyed however by the people (councils) who have a go at me saying I MUST recycle or i'll get fined etc.

what a cheek the councils have surely it is completely up to the decision of the person whether they wish to recycle or not.

my blue bin is never emptied from one day to the next.

remains full to the brim ,then everyone sticks the recycling rubbish in the black bin which is emptied frequently.

I put everything in the general bin. I even buy in extra fluorescent lamps and lithium batteries to mix in with it.

Plastic sack council here ; black, clear or green - all collected weekly.
Simples - and the council scores well on the % scale.

Just found out that collections "suspended" due to bad weather. Looks like having to keep the Xmas detritus hanging around another couple of weeks.
