Empire Strikes Back & Godfather II are often mistakenly cited as being superior sequels. Godfather II is indeed superb but loses its way a bit with all the Hymen Roth-Cuba business, whereas Godfather hasn't a weak scene.

None of the following Star Wars movies were able to match the sheer wonder of the original. I beg to differ. I think The Empire Strikes Back is possibly the best sci-fi film ever made and whilst A New Hope is truly magnificent, it's not as good as the sequel. Even Return of The Jedi is a better film than A New Hope IMHO. |
