Report sparkmaster. • January 5, 2010 11:04 PM GMT

hung parliment

10 years time this country will be the equivalent of Spain or Australia on the world stage (small fry but not exactly completely rubbish). What a shame our former greatness is long gone.

There really is nothing this country can do. We've reached our limits in terms of population size and thus GDP
Report cunnybobbler • January 5, 2010 11:06 PM GMT
why would anyone vote for anyone in may, or any other month?
Report bodil • January 5, 2010 11:07 PM GMT
Not exactly, rustyboy. We are notoriously historically vicious and violent. If it gets really bad we would probably invade a couple of the more financially successful (non-nuclear) states. Never forget your inheritance.
Report rustyboy • January 5, 2010 11:10 PM GMT
well id like to go and live back in the 19th century when we ruled 1/4 of the globe. What a time that must have been :)
Report bodil • January 5, 2010 11:16 PM GMT
If you don't fight, you get soft. And we have fought more than anyone. We should embrace our bloody inheritance.
Report twopoundpunter • January 6, 2010 12:16 AM GMT
it all depends how you determine whos poor
Report bodil • January 6, 2010 12:18 AM GMT
Shortly, we will be poorer than anyone else.
Report yorky • January 6, 2010 12:19 AM GMT

Report Marxist-Leninist • January 6, 2010 12:29 AM GMT
plenty will, for reasons such as:

- he looks good

- the Sun says we should

- labour have taken us for granted

- brown is a disaster

- give the others a chance
Report yorky • January 6, 2010 12:30 AM GMT
he had better hurry up or its another baldy loser for torys , hair dissapearing faster than opinion poll lead
Report Marxist-Leninist • January 6, 2010 12:32 AM GMT
won't matter one jot, of course. Its the middle class votes in the marginals that decide elections.
Report bodil • January 6, 2010 12:33 AM GMT
So, you have no firm views, Marxist-Leninist?
Report alfie bhoy • January 6, 2010 12:35 AM GMT
people who read the sun should be takin out and shot imo, disgusting rag.
Report Back High Lay Low • January 6, 2010 12:36 AM GMT
Perhaps some of them aspire not to be poor one day.

For whom though? Did your average Brit live well as a result of Britain controlling India? Probably just the toffs having it large as usual.
Report Marxist-Leninist • January 6, 2010 12:37 AM GMT
no bodil ;-)
Report HRH The Lager Khan • January 6, 2010 12:39 AM GMT
Cameron looks good? Are you sure? He looks like my friend Gavin who is married to a bit of an aesthetically challenged mentalist.
Report Marxist-Leninist • January 6, 2010 12:42 AM GMT
not my opinion! though he does have fine skin, the advantage, i suppose, of avoiding proper work all your life
Report bodil • January 6, 2010 12:43 AM GMT
Burn them all!
Report HRH The Lager Khan • January 6, 2010 12:44 AM GMT
Well couldn't he go and work for Max Factor and some model run the country instead?
Report alfie bhoy • January 6, 2010 12:46 AM GMT
Since he's advocating tax rises all round.... why would anyone vote for him?
Report twopoundpunter • January 6, 2010 12:53 AM GMT
doesnt really matter who is in power ....country is on a downward spiral with no hope of a proper upturn ....the only thing that will increase is the population .
Report alfie bhoy • January 6, 2010 12:56 AM GMT
the scottissh know with regard to the tories, found the out long ago, down past watford gap, not so much clever people.
Report bodil • January 6, 2010 1:50 AM GMT
