firm shut factory at 1.30, no afters shift said we can work our time in or take holiday, any help if this is right or should we get paid as it was there decision to shut

Iirc from Scottish Courage, if they send you home they have to pay you a basic shift.

You should always go sick just before a send home. They pay full day then.
