yeh i dont think i can think of many who favoured double 10 like me. i think i got it off someone on tv. john lowe?? somebody liked double 10s anyway. i packed in when my brain started going a bit weird, i was going for treble 19 every dart and using the 17 as cover!

You might've been a bit better if you preferred double 20 ;) John Lowe preferred dbl 18 btw so must've been someone else who couldn't hit dbl top either :)

1.01 looking to get smashed here

carnage at the Lakeside
Report cunnybobbler • January 4, 2010 7:46 PM GMT
lol. yeh well obviously part of it was i couldnt hit double top as often as i would have liked! but i always preferred the 20/10 to the 16/8s. id leave myself double 10 ahead of double 16 deliberately if that was the choice. id say i hit double 10 around 60% and double 16 around 33% and 8 even less than that. no idea why, i mean i practised 16 and 8 but it never got any better. its ok people saying 16 leaves 8 etc but its no use if you cant hit 16 or 8 to save your life!. id rather go for what i can hit lol
Report bigH • January 4, 2010 8:18 PM GMT

Report cunnybobbler • January 4, 2010 11:34 PM GMT
oh dear. i didnt see the start. 5, 12, at least he got every dart in the board. just. wonder what is average was??
Report statman99 • January 4, 2010 11:37 PM GMT
overall average was 65 ish after he perked up in the 3rd.

However, average for 1st leg 1st set was 38.

He was obviously pished off his head. Got to feel for the guy - obviously didn't want to be there.
Report 2smiggy • January 4, 2010 11:43 PM GMT

Report casemoney • January 5, 2010 12:04 AM GMT

Report Lozzy • January 5, 2010 6:56 AM GMT

Report Baggers • January 5, 2010 9:38 AM GMT
It's a tradition of Lakeside that on the Thursday afternoon at the players hotel, as many players as possible take part in a pro-am with managers, TV staff, journalists, Dick (Koral on site manager), etc

I pity the poor sod who gets partnered with Fleet or Hanvidge
Report Lies, DamnLies, and Statistics • January 5, 2010 9:40 AM GMT
^maybe they could play as the amateur...
Report Seasider. • January 5, 2010 10:05 AM GMT
The captain of my ex-darts team once scored 3 (3 single ones) with the first three darts of a match away at a club in Liverpool. The rest of the team couldn't stop laughing for 5 minutes and we had to be told to be quiet by the bloke on the mic.
Report Baggers • January 5, 2010 12:18 PM GMT
at least he took the odd 1 off
