..About Choudrey the extremeist and other muslim extremeist who wish death and destruction to anybody who doesn't share their radical beliefs........Makes me wonder if they sympathise with them a wee bit...
I have often thought this as well.My conclusion is that secretly they support the extremist. i have noted that whenever there is extremist activity carried out in the name of Islam the muslim council never come out and condemm the actions and often hint at support. How great this country once was

Proposed Wootton Bassett Protest: A publicity Stunt that Deserves Disdain Monday 04 January 2010
The Muslim Council of Britain echoes the sentiments expressed by Allison Bucknell, Mayoress of Wooton Bassett, and condemns the call by the fringe extremist group Islam4UK for their proposed march in Wootton Bassett. This group thrives on controversy and we will do well to ensure we do not grant them the oxygen of publicity they crave.
The overwhelming majority of British Muslims want nothing to do with such extremists. Like other Britons, Muslims are not opposed to Britains Armed Forces. Indeed, Muslims have made a deep and historic contribution to this nations defence, with over 2.5 million serving in the First and Second World Wars. The deaths of those in Afghanistan and other areas of conflicts are not only a concern amongst Muslims, it is shared by other British people, who do not resort to such sensationalist and divisive stunts.
The MCB respects the value of free speech in Britain and echoes the sentiments of many of its affiliates to disregard such provocations. We commend the Wiltshire Islamic Cultural Centre and others for issuing a clear message that this protest is not acceptable and has no support at all by the local Muslim community.

Why stop at just the "oxygen of publicity" - surely it would be better to cut off their oxygen supply altogether.

Well lets wait and see how many muslims take to the street in support of their christian brothers to defeat this extremist march. i strongly suspect we will be able to count them on one hand

Wootton Bassett has become known for hundreds of people lining the streets to honour the war dead.
Anjem Choudary and his Islam4UK group have noticed. They are planning to honour the "real Afghan war dead" by carrying symbolic coffins on a march through the mourning town.
What Choudary and his ignorant cohort do not understand is that the people of Wootton Bassett don't do what they do for any political reason. It's not about the rights and wrongs of the war. They do it simply to pay their respects to those who have lost their lives and support the families who must carry on without them.
I've never had much time for Anjem Choudary and his band of self-serving, publicity-craving lunatics. They have a long history of causing controversy, in fact they thrive on it.
They openly declare that they are a "platform" for Al Muhajiroon; a group banned in this country under anti-terror laws. I despise even having to talk about them.
But at the same time I am compelled to make clear that he and his idiots do not represent the Muslim community of Bristol, Wiltshire or anywhere else in this country. I have spoken to many Muslims about the planned march, and everyone, bar none, has equally condemned them. Anjem, don't hold the march. Show the world you are not as stupid or as heartless as you make yourself out to be. If you genuinely want to bring attention to the loss of civilian life in countries like Afghanistan and Iraq then do so, but not like this.
Don't parade your stupidity, dressed up as Islam, in front of grieving families. I know you have been that stupid in the past, but I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that you made a mistake.
If you have any ounce of decency, you will not go ahead with your plans. Anjem, I know Muslim groups across the South West are standing up to tell you that we don't want you here.
Your ways are that of the Khwaarij; an extremist, deviant sect that existed in early Islam. It is not the way of the Prophet Muhammad.
You will know of an example from his life: One day, as he was sat, a funeral procession passed by. The Prophet stood up as a mark of respect. A bystander asked the Prophet, "Why do you stand? The deceased is a Jew" (ie not a Muslim). The Prophet replied, "Is he not a human soul?"
Anjem, of course you have the right to protest, I will defend your right to do so, but you do not have the right to deliberately cause offence. No one does.

Extremists like Choudry get the publicity (which I suspect, this is all about) and then the moderates have to fight to get their (far less newsworthy) message across. However, I have heard - for example on the 5 Live phone in yesterday morning - very articulate responses from several Muslim groups / individuals, condemning Choudry and his idiotic, no-platform, gang, reiterating the fact that they do not represent the mainstream Muslim view.
Gotta agree with OriolesExtremists like Choudry get the publicity (which I suspect, this is all about) and then the moderates have to fight to get their (far less newsworthy) message across. However, I have heard - for example on the 5 Live phone in
