as im not your landlord its rather difficult to give an answer.

I'd ask your landlord rather than a gambling chit chat forum.

HTH etc!

I couldn't get a credit referee a couple of years ago the landlady was happy with as I'd recently gone self employed, so paid the letting agent six months (the length of the contract) rent up front.

I wanted to pay a letting agent 6 months up front, was not allowed to though.

I used Your Move letting agents. Turned up with just over 4k in cash at an agreed time so the girl there could pay it in to the bank asap. Gave me a reciept and signed the relevent paperwork and picked up the keys. No problem.

The problem is if the landlord hasn't paid the mortgage and the property gets repossesed you wont get your money back.

You will if you have a friend called 'Big Kev'.

mind you, it was a no smoking B & B, and somehow after a year, there were thousands of cigarette butts on the garden below my bedroom window, am surprised no-one said anything

There was a bit of flirting at first punter, but then I remembered the reason I needed a one bedroom flat in a hurry was due to another shementalist. I subsequently found out her boyfriend was a complete headcase, and she wasn't far behind. I then found out she was a dancer and got interested again! Still got her number somewhere I think.

Why would you want to pay the full lease up front?

Serious question, can you not trust yourself with the money or something? Why not just have the money in your account?

and she stayed with me for a couple of nights, and she still never tried to touch the ceiling with her toes
Report HRH The Lager Khan • January 4, 2010 10:03 PM GMT

Report punterfleecer • January 4, 2010 10:04 PM GMT
