My computer has started to open pages it thinks I might be interested in. If in BF it'll open a Billie Hill page. If I look at holidays it opens a flights page. these are not pop-ups in so much as they open behind the current page. I've got AVG, Ad-aware and Microsoft Security running and pop-offs turned off. Any suggestions please.
I've realised that although I've got pop-ups blocked, on a few sites I allow them and it seems that its those sites that now allow them underneath which hasn't happened before. There's also a funny multicoloured logo on the left of the address bar. It could have something to do with Google Chrome but I'll be a bit more diligent and notice precisely when they come up. Thanks for the replies.

ok logged out of IE. now back in. logged onto BF and Billy Hill online comes up underneath. Top line across the page has multicoloured logo on left Billy Hill etc and ends with the word -favorit. Going to bed now.

I've run malwarebytes this afternoon and come home to find its found 32 infections. I've removed these and so far so good. However the 32 infections are after running AVG, Adaware, CCleaner and Microsoft Security yesterday which all found nothing. Thanks for all your help guys and hopefully tomorrow I'll report all is well. One query though on rebooting I get a big list of programmes blocked on rebooting. Any advice here please.
