Horwich under 11's B team drew 2-2 away at Ulverston, we were robbed, a 10 year old pantsonfire made his debut as a substitute and should have scored the winner, the miss still haunts him and put a cloud over his whole football career. However he went on to better things in his chosen profession.

Doesn't qualify as the best ever but I have "Ballroom Blitz" by The Sweet, and, through some mess-up in production, it has a B-side of Perry Como singing the old Kodak ad song "Memories".
Report Journeyman • January 3, 2010 7:47 AM GMT
Surely We Will Rock You is more an album track than a B Side?

Okay it's on the B Side of We are the Champions but it's better known for kicking off News of the World!

A proper b Side is a track you only get on a single (until it eventually appears on a B Side compilation)?

Report Slicer • January 3, 2010 9:33 AM GMT
The Beatles were well known for the quality of their B Sides at a time when a lot put out mediocre self written crepe what the record labels would not dream of putting out otherwise, and instrumentals of the a sides.

In 2nd place- Baby youre a rich man by the Beatles
and the winner is:

I AM A WALRUS- b side of Hello Goodbye by the Beatles, AND I KNOW COS I WAS THERE!

I hope this posting, on one of my increasingly rare visits to the forums, overcomes any doubts whatsoever.

Jeane by The Smiths, B side of This Charming Man, and funnily enough never appeared on any compilations. As far as I know the only place you could ever get it was as the B side of the 7" single.

It's a great song, (mind you both B sides of the 12" were also fantastic, Wonderful Woman and Accept yourself)
