Good luck to him.
They're not on price comparison web-sites because: 1. They have to pay commission to the site provider, which costs the customer more; 2. Buying insurance should be about more than simply the price. A garage I know refuses Direct Line customers because DL are such poor and slow payers; 3. It's a free country. Up to them where they promote their services. The ads aren't bad either; plenty worse about. |

Good write up topkat, i like the ads especially the 'Silver Surfer' one in the cafe

Thanks Priest.
Is that your name because you are a clergyman or clergically (!) inclined? Or are you named after the small club which anglers use to beat their piscine captives to death? |

Muppets?
I'm obviously missing something. He's a successful comedian. An insurance company offers him a ton of money to take part in its advertising campaign. He accepts the money and does the campaign. A few more people buy insurance from that company than might otherwise have done. Who is the victim? |
|
By:
His credibility.....

He is on the road to meet Lenny Henry...

I'm a victim.
Have to listen to people who think they're funny when they shout "Green army". |
|
By:
What credibility?
He's a COMEDIAN. Will his sketches be less funny 'cos he's been in an advertising campaign? Or is he involved in some political / religious / social campaign that has passed me by? |
|
By:
Are you his Mum...?

the adverts are woefully unfunny - it taints his reputation, instead of thinking about his work I now consider him the blellend in them appalling adverts - not that I expect he cares particularly

hows the PR job going at aviva topkat?
|
|
By:
I can take him or leave him.
One of the things I like about Whitehouse as a provider of light entertainment is that he doesn't seem to take himself too seriously. So seems odd to be having a pop at him just for making a few ads for insurance. How many lucrative TV advertising campaigns have you yourself been offered and turned down? |

Aviva (Norwich Union)....not on comparison websites because they cannot compete...
