Yanks doing the Auschwitz bit now

watched a documentary on cable channel (don't know which) last night about Auschwitz.There was a bit where an allied soldier was remembering a conversation he had with a colleague along the lines of 'One of my biggest fears is that if we defeat the Germans that we'll end up as bad as or worse than them' ..............if only he knew?
