Scenario is....

Door A
Door B
Door C

You choose Door C.

You are then shown Door A contains a goat.

Maths % says if offered the chance to swap to Door B, you should bite their hand off...

had an arguement with someone on the gee gees forum about a month ago, relating to this and DOND!

but SSS the banker in deal or No deal doesnt know where the money is. Now if this is 100% true and really it should be as otherwise its a pretty lame show, then it really is a 50/50 as to what the person does

I was always told to swap but surely if you swap then you are still a 50/50 shot. Lets assume you are given another chance to swap? Should you? After all, you are still in the same predicament with no further information.

I meant, at the start of DOND, the contestants box is a 1 in 22 chance that it contains the big one, and a 21 in 22 chance it doesn't.

We have manually erased 20 boxes out of the game, leaving the contestants box and one other box with the big one still in play.

The theory says that the contestant should s** the box at the end.

its not 50/50

Whether the chances are 50/50 or 2 to 1 depends on whether the person opening the door already knows where everything is. Since this is never spelled out, you can waste days arguing about it.

yes SSS, if u just took 20 randoms away from the box on the table and the other box left in play and asked if u want the swap then yes you would do it cos you have increased your chances from 1/22 to 21/22 (this is all presuming that the host has withdrawn 20 boxes at random and with the knowledge of where the 250k is)
