I never do. Its the one night of the year when i actually don't want to go out. If theres one thing i hate it is false merryment. i can't abide people pretending to have a wonderful time when actually they are not. Does any one else see new year like this or am i alone?
By:
Already been out , wasnt that good...am home now.

Amazingly, I won't be out, and won't be drinking. Facking man flu :(

team deatmatch for me at 12pm
will all my virtual friends happy new year |
By:
I hate everything about New years eve from your local charging you to get in to the cretins who get**ed just because of the date and the fact that evryone expects you to stay until 12 to congratulate everyone just because their watch says midnight. I wish we could fast forward to the point where you dont have to start every conversation with "happy new year to you" and realise that everything is exactly the same.

By:
Harry i couldn't have put it better myself
By:
I've spent most of my adult life working on New Year's Eve so celebrating it is a nasty habit I've never picked up.
No choice about staying in tonight though whether I want to or not. |
By:
no drink here,its overrated imo.
By:
calling at friends and family houses, then back home before midnight may go to a party round the corner about 1am if still up.

i could go out but i stay in all over xmas / new year as the pubs are full of people who cant take their ale,go out once a year for a meal and pay for everything even 1 mineral water on their card, students who think its funny to say what occuring? fock off ....
kids dressed up as a reindeer...poor kid bar staff taking a quid when i say one for yourself coz its xmas? i dont get a **in tip at my work for helping a customer i refuse tips ... take a quid when its 3 quid a pint fook off xmas songs in the background....no i dont wish it would be xmas every day as then the pub would be full of cnuts like you every day and id be driven to senile dementia at an early age and go and jump off a ** bridge nob heads with tinsel round a wacky hat... fook off santa was a kopite hats? well he wont deliver any trophies this season will he??? roll on january when all the tw@ts have fooked off back to their lives aand i can get on with mine.... and why should i spend new year in a pub with random nobheads who i will never meet again and yet want a hug or kiss coz its 12 oclock and a year closer to my impending stay in a nursing home with a 50 yr old fat divorcee with a hairy warty face wiping my arse and trying to change my will so i leave it to her and her 5 cats fook off and happy ** new year |
By:
If you don't want to tip them it's best to not say "One for yourself".
By:
Staying in tonight, Cheltenham tomorrow, then a few (hopefully) celebratory beers tomorrow night.
By:
I'm being dragged against my will in to that there London to drink falling down water and talk to strange lady people who will probably expect me to give them a feeling of early new year squelchyness. :(
By:
is that the london thing.?
By:
My guts are on fire.. I think I may have done serious damage during last 3 weeks of drinking, so none for me tonight
By:
one thing i will never do is pay to get into a place where you then pay again to drink their beer !! robbing f**kers
By:
signing in
must be getting old |
By:
its fantastic to hear you all most clowns follow the crowd and pretend to enjoy it when really they would rather be at home in front of the fire feet up on the coffee table watching some dross on the telly
By:
agree with mr crumb
tonight is the worst night of the year for going out, always has been: everything over-priced. everywhere over-crowded, everyone over-inebriated i shall spend the evening at home with mrs topkat and the spanish in-laws. we raise our glasses twice: once for spanish new year, then an hour later for english waking with a hangover on jan 1 - hard to think of a worse way to start the new year |
By:
used to love new years in in my town about 15 years ago cos u had 8 or 9 pubs within walking distance an there was no trouble after about 9 as all the idiots who started drinking about 11 am had gone by then. think it al changed in 99 when they all started to charge for millenium an its ben same since an now theres only about 5 pubs anyway. definitley agree its better staying in tonight an then enjoy the day tomorrow
