Not sure if its a repeat or not. |
By:

By:
yes he never gets up before midday normally this day was on a boat at 9 am , when it hit, he said he looked down under the boat and all the sea had turned brown, though omg whats this looked to shore and where he was staying in the beach hut was being smashed to bits
By:
terrible stuff
By:
his boat came back in 1 hr later and where he had been staying was just gone, headed for high ground and the football bag he had took all round the world was up a tree 1/2 a mile inland about 30ft up, his lasting memory was off the smell of dead people days later and of the locals kicking off cos of lack of help, all europeans had to shelter in a temple for safety
By:
a friend of mine was there at the time at one of the resorts that was badly hit, he was with his family about half a mile inland and for hours he was unaware that there had been a disaster, only when he returned to his hotel nearer the seafront that he realised something was wrong

By:
great programme well done by C4
By:
I read on another thread that some women believe that men cannot cry unless they see something that directly affects them.
After watching that programme I can confirm that this is not true. |
By:
So sad because as said naturally you wouldnt think there was a danger there at that point
By:
those germans could run fast
By:
Really sad, makes me wanna take swimming lessons now.
By:
no shame in admitting to tears green it shows you have feeling and a proper good soul
By:
ffs that guy just watched it come in :0
By:
Why did that guy just stand there ?
By:
I found it a bit uncomfortable, other than for the obvious reason. People talking in that format about the death of loved ones just seems a bit disrespectful. When they started talking about losing touch with their daughter and the creepy music started it just seemed really wrong to me. An ugly mix of rubbernecking and personal tragedy.

excellent program, truly horrific at times. Made me a little ashamed to think that I've generally considered 9/11 to be the defining moment of this generation. The sheer gravity of the tsunami seems to have been lost somewhere along the way.
