modern day Alexei Sayle -completely unfunny

By:
I turned over after 5 minutes, not funny , he is a fair comedy actor but to give him a Saturday night show is ridiculous imvho
By:
Saw a clip.
Very unfunny. |
By:
pc gone mad
By:
I heard him being interviewed on the radio. I couldn't believe he's supposed to be a comedian.
By:
a few too many falafels on his shoulders.
By:
I'm inclined to agree for once, this is a blatant move by the BBC to pander to the pc brigade
By:
i thought he was an actor not a comedian.

"I'm Iranian in Britain but don't be scared we're not all terrorists... and did I mention that I'm an Iranian who lives in Britain" is that his act summed up or do I have the wrong guy?
By:
Never heard of him,who is he?
By:
That's the guy Stem, if he was English he wouldn't get a look in.
By:
I'm going to do a tour of the Sudanese comedy clubs. My only joke is, ' Hi I'm english, but don't worry I haven't got a teddy bear.'
By:
yep, he's not very funny.
Still he's not quite as unfunny as 'comedienne' Jo Caulfield who I briefly saw on SNL last night. I actually felt embarrassed for her and her risible act - utter shyte. |
By:
I did that tour back in 03 nestor
I had a t- shirt especially designed Sudanese Teddy bear tour march 5th 2.47 pm - march 5th 2.48 pm |
By:
Very good, pumpy. :D I'll perhaps do an Afghanistan tour then. The F*ck the Taliban Tour, has a nice ring to it.
By:
I think you might die on stage if you did that Nest.
By:
The funniest man seen on TV since Billy Connely,I laughed so much I nearly cried, could do with an hour of this brilliant comic.!!!I think you nonbelievers need a funny bone transplant, you will need to get out more,???

Not seen much of this bloke but what I have seen has been about as funny as chewing my arm off. I've seen him acting in things though and he was quite funny then. Anyone who decides to write a sketch show is always on to a loser though as they are hardly ever funny (unless you are ten years old).
By:
has a funny dance
By:
he has enough material for a one off stand up routine so if you see him the once yes he's funny but after that there's nothing.Just plays on the iranian thing/ put on middle eastern accent & then reverting to a clipped English accent. Boring & not funny.

bad comedians always revolve their act around what's different about them, as follows:
Fat comedians tell jokes about being fat Black comedians tell jokes about being black Women comedians about being women Disabled comedians about being disabled Gay comedians about being gay etc White, male, heterosexual comedians have got nothing going for them in that department, therefore revolve their acts around everyday life and tell proper jokes without stereotyping themselves. Name me one decent comedian who has been around for a decent length of time that fits the above descriptions? Once they've told the same old jokes about what's different about them they've run out of material and their careers are over |
By:
Yeah too right. Roy 'Chubby' Brown is white, male & heterosexual and is hilarious (as in hilariously risible).

Is Omid Djalili Iranian??
And is Jo Brand fat and ugly?? I just wish they'd let on.... |
By:
exceptionally unfunny imo
By:
Everyone who has posted a negative comment about this dusky genius, is imo a disgusting racist.
By:
i guess im a disgusting racist and sexist then.
Djalili is crap and i do doubt someone of his calbire would get a saturday night bbc1 show if it wasnt for his nationality angle. Serafinowics (sp?) is also bad and i have no idea how he got his show except for the Beeb thinking his funny name will appeal to our new eastern bloc imports. Jo Brand has been living off 2 jokes (im fat and i hate men) for 20 years! 3 non blondes was **e and so was the spin off, but 'they is black' talking in Nigerian accents doesnt automatically make something funny, neither does shouting. Its not the fault of these bad comedians really. The beeb is so desperate for them to succeed that they arent properly vetted. Im not really racist, there are plenty of funny black American guys and they are funny because they have actually had to develop there act instead of being snapped up immediately. |

ChiefBronson = Bernard Manning reincarnate
By:
i saw him live a few years ago and he was ok but this tv show in a dated dave allen format simply does not work
By:
actually i've never seen Manning and therefore have no opinion of him either way. Im too young to have remember when he was allowed on tv and they dont show repeats!
Of the 70's comedians who are repeated, Morecambe and Wise were **, 2 Ronnies were largely **. As far as i can tell comedy from the 70's was blokes dessing up as women/nazi's/milkmen/priests etc and singing not particularly entertaining songs. I cant remember his name but that miserable looking bloke who sat at a piano was another one... |
By:
Has anyone got the 'let's kick racism out of football' number?
Bronson is begging for these dogs to be set on him imo. |
By:
Charles Bronson aint scared of dogs!
I remembered the miserable guy was Les Dawson. Almost typed Les Dennis in my last post :) Whilst on this subject may i push the thread towards the Beebs pundits? Carlton **ing Palmer ???!!! Laura Palmer would do a better job, and she's dead, wrapped in plastic... |
By:
harold sweets voice 02 Dec 17:57 ChiefBronson = Bernard Manning reincarnate Harold.. regrdless of your views on B Mannings act..believe me if Omid Djaalili had one one ounce of BM 'S comic timing and delivery he'd be one far far funnier stand up than the one trick pony act he is. People do forget that Bernard Manning was a supreme gag teller and that is surely the crux of any stand up act.The guy was no more more racist then Sir Trevor Philips..his act was offensive for sure but everyone was the butt of his jokes the race element was a small part of the act.He was an old style white working class comedian who lived and worked most of his life and an ultra run down working class mixed race area. |
By:
To think of how funny the likes of les dawson were ..a man who could make a dreaful show like blankety balnk worth watching simply because he compered it..how many shows could you say that about these days
By:
who lived and worked most of his life and an ultra run down working class mixed race area.
Don't know what you have been reading but almost all the houses on the road he lived on were pushing 500,000 in value and I know of one non-white family (out of maybe 40 homes) that lived on that road up until recently. Not that it's of any relevance really but it's amazing the amount of $hite that people will spout/believe just to support an argument. |
