Definitely worth seeing. The 3D is amazing.
The big let down for me was the storyline, and somehow I couldn't empathise with computer generated blue people. So, in the battle scenes at the end I found I didn't actually care who won.

Forget the trailer, when I saw that I thought Cameron had gone insane. In 3D the film has a flow and depth that builds up a strange level of immersion.

There are many faults with it, too long, but still seems like the start of something new and powerful. People hooked in to 3-4 repeat viewings, dreaming about the film etc.

it was described in one review as, The Smurfs doing Irish Dancing .

yes good movie but far too long.

Apparently you can see it in 'Amazing 3D-o-vision' and 'Mega-disappointing normal-o-vision'. Pick 3D and you'll be laughing all the way to the whiplash surgery.

Star Wars meets X-Men meets Platoon meets Lord of the Rings meets Iron Man meets Planet of the Apes meets The**Ultimatum meets Jurassic Park meets Pocohontas.

I liked the little floaty jellyfish things best.

3D or not, absolutely not the sort of film I'd like to spend two hours of my life on.
Report Hearts.no1 • December 30, 2009 8:27 PM GMT
^ thats because it lasts 3 hours :p
Report TheRankingMissP • December 30, 2009 8:29 PM GMT
Have you seen it delz?
Report delz • December 30, 2009 8:36 PM GMT
3 hours! Even worse.

I've seen the trailer - and YES, I know, doesn't do any justice and all that. Not mocking the film or its viewers as I respect different likings, just couldn't bring myself to watch the whole thing, whether it's in 3D or not. If it'd be a film I'd like to watch, as genre and storyline were appealing, I would not hesitate. Surely this won't be the last one using that new technique.

Give it a go, delz. I let myself to be dragged along today only because of the recommendations on this thread, still thinking it would be tedious, but it wasn't, it was visually engrossing and exhilarating and the script was pretty good.
