The war would have been over by 1950 at the latest and we would have won. With the Russians onside, it wasn't going to last later than 1948.
Churchill wanted the yanks in because his loyalties lay with them. (He was a half septic, remember.) His shenanigans with lend lease bankrupted Britain, cost us an empire and carved up Europe between Russia and the USA. The First World War and the Second World War were only parts of a European civil war and we haven't seen the end of it yet. |
