Keep an eye on the World Cup dates mate...you don't want to be stuck in a resort full of moronic England fans...unless we win it of course :-)

Alcudia is lovely - but NORTH facing. Not great laying on the beach with the gently sloping sandy beach and the warm MedSea at your feet with the sun setting below the mountain behind you ;)

why don't you look at the south of France?we have a very nice house at Pomas nearLimoux, the place is outstanding,my wife is French so that helps but the people are all very nice,in july all the sunflowers are out and of course wine on tap.

Can't really tell you anthing about Paphos because I rarely get down that end of the island.
Temperature in July will be between 35C and 40C. Humidity will be starting to kick in as well so you definitely need to make sure that wherever you stay has got air-conditioning. |

Alcudia - OK especially for families imo

pricey!

Brits have mostly taken over Paphos. They do have betting shops that show English racing though, if you can sneak away for a few hours. The Chinese on the front is my fav restaurant.

That depends on what you do,youcan rent a house in the area for around £750/1.500 a week,we have two small children close to us (10)km a park with plenty for them to do all for just 1euro each, the food is all superb we tend to drive down so thats saves cost but flying about £600,we go a couple of times a year but in july/aug its very hot you do need a swimming pool,I would be very happy never going anywhere else.

Ronaldinho's,I have been to Brittany, thats fine but its a bit like Cornwall or Ireland (south)the weather is the same as here, also Provence thats much better but that is very arid its nice but but too dry for my taste,Cote d'Azur is great but far to expensive,my wife is from Languedoc-Roussillon region, that imo is the best part of France its very rural,a beutiful area full of cornfields and sunflower fields and of course vineyards so the wine is very cheap and plentiful
our house is about one and a half hours driving from the Med'coast the beachs are fabulous, free parking everywhere that goes for all of France not like here!If you are looking for a great place for a holiday thats really not too expensive then i would highly recommend this area.hope this helps you. |

La Baule is a bit of a drive from Nantes, but a major beach resort.
Hope this helps. |

Sorry Ron, I don't know that 'side' of france very well. I have been to N.Brittany and I did once spend a weekend in La Baule about 20yrs ago, but I wasn't very impressed TBH. Nantes near to the Vendee region and that is a nice part, tho I don't know it well.
