ive got 3 fairly recently.
a 1.5tb toshiba for about £80. big storage but needs to be plugged in, and not all that small. a 500gb toshiba for about £75. usb powered and fits in your pocket a 360gb neso for about £70. same as above but shiny too lol imo if theres any chance whatsoever you may want to move it about or use it with a laptop then go for the usb powered ones. wish id not bought the 1.5tb one now, its handy for movies but a right pain moving it between my tv and laptop. its worth paying more (in relative terms) for a usb powered drive. downside is ive not seen one above 500b. |

i looked everywhere only recently and there really was only the toshiba ones like i posted before. there arent any other readily available 500gb usb powered hard drives apart from the neso ones that are a similar price but hard to find. you wont get one for £60 unless you buy a fake one on ebay from hong kong and by the time youve paid postage as opposed to free postage on play.com or amazon i dont see the point when it probably wont even work.

just to clarify, "usb powered" means it isnt plugged into the mains...
