Can anyone help with a sky+ problem.

I've deleted everything from my sky+ planner but it only says it's got 69% of its memory free. Is there a way to fully wipe the lot. There's a load of stuff I want to record while I'm away, and I want as much as possible to survive.

Thanks.

Literally nothing, I deleted the lot. I've got one program scheduled to record tomorrow, and that's it. Very confusing.

I think problems like this are usually due to the hard disk having stuff saved on to it, which doesn't show up on the planner meaning you can't delete it and you're fked.

System reset sounds like you're best bet, it will clear any recorded programmes you have, but you said you have none...so it may be worth doing it.

Someone else here may know more :)

Could be a load of Sky Anytime crap which has been downloaded and is taking up hard drive space (although I was under the impression that this portion of the hard drive was separate from the one you record stuff onto).

No probs. Like I said, there's nothing on there - it must all be fragments. How do I do a system reset then?

Follow the steps in that article, it's pretty simple to follow.

P.S That disclaimer at the top of the page applies to my advice too...but I can't see it doing any harm. :)

Press Services. Press 4 0 1. (Don't worry about what appears on the screen while pressing those three numbers.) Press 8. Press Select for Yes for full restore.

Digibox will turn itself off. Wait a few minutes and turn back on. Planner will be clear and 100% available.

Thanks guys. Used Dan's link, and it worked perfectly. Now I can fill the hard disk with junk again.

It wouldn't really have mattered as much if my dad had more than 5 channels.

Merry Christmas! :)

is Sky+ one of the most unreliable inventions ever? Im on my 3rd box already and this one is playing up - doesn't record shows or sticks constantly whilst watching shows live, sort it out Sky were paying for this sh!te.

Nice link, btw, thanks Dan.

Theres an easier way than a full system reset. That is drastic and has been known to cause problems.

Under the Sky setup menu, there should be an option called Planner Rebuild. Thats the one you want. System reset is mainly for pic problems, and can also knacker recording facilities on a box.

Ah well, I've recorded one thing already, and it appears to have worked (I've watched a bit of it already). If it knackers it, I'll just upgrade to sky+ HD.

Merry Christmas all. Over and out. :D
